Lesley McNeil
Hi, I’m Lesley, the founder of Cailleach Coaching.
For nearly two decades I’ve worked at the intersection of strategy, policy and delivery within the renewables sector. Beginning my career in the Scottish Government, and more recently leading marketing, public affairs and communications at executive level in the private sector I am an experience public affairs and communications professional, and member of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations.
My work has involved shaping strategy, advising senior leaders, preparing board-level briefings, navigating regulatory complexity and facilitating high-stakes conversations where clarity and judgement matter. I’ve built a reputation for thoughtful analysis, calm leadership and the ability to translate complexity into direction.
Alongside this, I’ve led teams, mentored emerging leaders and facilitated strategy and change programmes across organisations. Again and again, I found that the work I valued most was helping capable people think more clearly, lead with confidence and make decisions aligned with their values, and Cailleach Coaching grew from that insight.
Today, I work with senior professionals and emerging leaders who want more than surface-level development. My coaching combines structured reflection, strategic thinking and grounded challenge. I also design and facilitate leadership sessions, strategy workshops and change conversations for organisations navigating growth and transition.
I live in the east end of Glasgow with my husband, our two children and a greyhound called Zephyr (named after a Greek god, naturally).
